L’AIL NOIR BLACK GARLIC

Black garlic is said to have originated in Japan. Recently, this singular product has become available in Quebec. It is said to have therapeutic properties, notably an antioxidant and antibacterial effect. It is also known to be more easily digested and more delicate than fresh garlic, offering a less aggressive flavour. Its taste is an excellent example of the famous “umami” taste, the fifth flavour, found in such foods as parmesan, ripe tomatoes, and seafood.
